Day Supports Specialist (DSP) and Direct Care Professionals 

Nita’s Touch is a person-centered day program built on dignity, purpose, and community. We believe every individual deserves a meaningful day—one that builds independence, confidence, and connection. Our program serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the NC Innovations Waiver, focusing on growth, not just supervision.

As a Day Supports Specialist (DSP) and Direct Care Professionals  at Nita’s Touch and or Bottom Up, will support individuals in developing daily living skills, social relationships, and independence through structured, engaging day activities—both in our center and in the community.

• Support daily living skills, socialization, and adaptive behavior
• Facilitate meaningful group and community-based activities
• Implement goals from each participant’s Individual Support Plan (ISP)
• Promote choice, independence, and self-determination
• Provide 1:1 support when authorized
• Follow behavior plans and safety guidelines
• Complete required documentation accurately
• Assist with transportation for community activities (if applicable)

• High school diploma or GED
• 18+ years of age
• Experience with I/DD or similar populations preferred
• Valid driver’s license (if transporting participants)
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Compassionate, dependable, and mission-driven
